Mesh: Good for produce that does not to be stored in the fridge. Tomatoes, most fruits, avocado. I have found they prevent bruising by hanging them hooks, and also layering a large mesh bag in a fruit bowl. It has helped me a lot using this method.

Muslin: Good for carrots, cut pumpkin, corn Zucchini, all harder skin veggies.
